The Westbury Area Board is scheduled to meet on Wednesday 11 March 2026 to discuss funding applications for local projects and receive updates from various organisations. The meeting will also include reports from Wiltshire Police and information on local highways and footpath improvements.

Area Board Funding

A significant portion of the meeting is dedicated to considering applications for Area Board funding. The board has remaining budgets of £11,984.00 for the Community Area Grant, £880.00 for Older and Vulnerable individuals, and £877.00 for Young People.

• Area Board Initiatives: An application for £400.00 for Westbury Area Board - Digital Literacy Sessions is listed.
• Community Area Grants: Applications include £5,000.00 for Gaia Gymnastics and Wellness CIC's new facility support, £5,000.00 for Dilton Memorial Hall's roof repairs, £5,000.00 for Westbury United Youth and Development FC's changing facility, £5,000.00 for Leigh Park Community Centre's community garden and allotment, and £2,991.00 for The Laverton Institute Trust's refurbishment of the William Room.

The Chairman, Councillor Robert Smith, will present a series of announcements and briefing notes. These include a monthly update from Community First for February 2026, a quarterly video update from the Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service, information on events and training opportunities from Wiltshire Money, an update from Alcoholics Anonymous, a call to action for governor recruitment in Wiltshire schools, and an update from BSW Together (Integrated Care Board) for February 2026.
