The committee made two decisions. It refused to grant permission for the proposed construction of student accommodation at 7 Brannan Street. It decided to grant permission to amend the operating hours of the Blackwall Way Yard Jetty. The committee also elected a new Chair for part of the meeting.

The Strategic Development Committee meeting on 09 October 2024 discussed several significant planning applications, including deferred items and new applications for decision. Key decisions made included the deferral of the 4-5 Harbour Exchange Square application for further consideration on family-sized units and construction impacts, and the granting of planning permission for the former Westferry Printworks redevelopment. The committee also granted a minor material amendment to the operational requirements for the Blackwall Way Jetty.

The Strategic Development Committee of Tower Hamlets Council met on Wednesday 30 March 2022 to discuss several planning applications. The committee granted planning permission for a development at Cuba Street, subject to conditions, and refused a proposal for an Innovation Centre at 225 Marsh Wall.

Strategic Development Committee - Tuesday, 20th April, 2021 5.30 p.m.

The Strategic Development Committee of Tower Hamlets Council met on Tuesday 20 April 2021 and resolved to defer a decision on a major redevelopment proposal for the Huntington Industrial Estate, located at 2 to 10 Bethnal Green Road, 1 to 5 Chance Street, and 30 to 32 Redchurch Street. The committee also unanimously approved a mixed-use development at 15 to 27 and 29 Bing Street, including flats at 1 to 6 Down and Court and 1 to 12 Bellamy Close.
