Audit and Governance Committee - Monday 1st December, 2025 2.00 pm
The Audit and Governance Committee of North Northamptonshire Council met to discuss internal audit plans, progress reports, risk management, IT audits, and policies related to fraud, bribery, and whistleblowing. The committee approved the internal audit plan, noted the progress report and risk register, and approved the updated anti-fraud and corruption policy, as well as the existing anti-bribery policy. The committee also requested revisions to the whistleblowing policy before its adoption.

Audit and Governance Committee - Monday 29th September, 2025 2.00 pm
The Audit and Governance Committee met to discuss the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman (LGSCO) and Housing Ombudsman Service (HOS) Annual Report, and the Internal Audit Progress Report. The committee approved the recommendations of both reports, and also approved the minutes of the meeting held on 18 August 2025.

Councillors approved the Director of Public Health’s annual report, the establishment of an Independent Remuneration Panel, and a scheme for the enrolment of Honorary Aldermen and Alderwomen. They also voted on several motions, approving those related to planning committees and business rates, while rejecting motions concerning a planning issue in Loddington/Cransley, service harmonisation and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
