Planning Committee - Wednesday 19 November 2025 6.30 pm

The Harrow Council Planning Committee met on 19 November 2025 and unanimously approved plans for the Harrow Arts Centre and Park High School, and also approved, subject to a legal agreement, plans for Station Road. Councillor Marilyn Ashton, Deputy Leader of the Council and Portfolio Holder for Planning & Regeneration, declared a non-pecuniary interest regarding Park High School, as she is on the board that meets annually. Councillor Simon Brown declared a non-pecuniary interest as an occasional user of the Harrow Arts Centre.

Planning Committee - Tuesday 14 October 2025 6.30 pm

The Harrow Council Planning Committee convened in October, primarily to discuss and decide on a hybrid planning application for the redevelopment of the Harrow Civic Centre, also known as Poet's Corner. The committee voted to grant the application, subject to a legal agreement, for a project that includes phased demolition, construction of residential buildings, and provision for commercial and community spaces.

Planning Committee - Thursday 25 September 2025 6.30 pm

The Harrow Council Planning Committee met on 25 September 2025, and refused a major application to demolish buildings at Traveller's Rest, 134 Kenton Road and construct a mixed-use development. The committee also deferred a decision on a planning application for 3 Gerald Road, and approved applications for Pinner Cricket Club, Harrow College and Bentley Wood High School.

Council - Thursday 18 September 2025 6.30 pm

Harrow Council met to discuss a range of issues, including public safety, education, and healthcare. A motion to demand that the Labour government honour the funding commitment for a new special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) school in Harrow was approved, while motions opposing the Mayor of London's planned closure of Harrow Police Station's front desk and opposing the Labour Government's closure of Mount Vernon's Urgent Care Unit were both carried.

The Harrow Council Planning Committee met on 3 September, and made decisions on planning applications, including approving a housing development on Harrow Island, and the removal of a protected tree. The committee also reviewed appeal decisions from the previous quarter, and discussed ways to improve the council's success rate in defending planning appeals.
