The meeting approved the appointments of a new Chief Executive and an interim Monitoring Officer for Surrey County Council. Councillors also received apologies from absent Councillors.
Health and Wellbeing Board - Wednesday, 20 March 2024 2.00 pm
The Board agreed to adopt the Surrey Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) 2025 delivery plan, agreed to the light touch refresh of the Surrey Heartlands Joint Forward Plan (JFP), and agreed in principle to a set of measures to streamline the operations and governance of the Board, the Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care Partnership (ICP), and the Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care Board (ICB).
Council - Tuesday, 19 March 2024 10.00 am
At this meeting of Surrey County Council, a motion was passed calling on the next government to reform local government finance, and the Council agreed to set up a Joint Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee with Hampshire County Council and Bracknell Forest Council to scrutinise the plans for the rebuilding of Frimley Park Hospital.
Children, Families, Lifelong Learning and Culture Select Committee - Thursday, 15 February 2024 10.00 am
The committee made a series of recommendations about alternative provision and fostering. The committee agreed to work with Family Voice Surrey to create a handbook for parents, and recommended that all parties engaged in alternative provision have a forum to discuss key issues. The committee also recommended that Surrey County Council drive forward a new Foster Carer Charter, and actively consider a series of proposals that the Surrey County Fostering Association believe would improve recruitment and retention of foster carers.
