Planning Policy Committee - Wednesday 19th November 2025 6.00 pm

The West Northamptonshire Council's Planning Policy Committee convened on 19 November 2025 and addressed several key planning initiatives. The committee approved the West Northamptonshire Draft Statement of Community Involvement 2025, adopted the updated Grand Union and Oxford Canal Conservation Area Review, and moved forward with the Grange Park Parish Council Neighbourhood Plan, accepting the Examiner’s recommendations to proceed to a referendum. Additionally, the committee discussed the draft West Northamptonshire Infrastructure and Developer Contributions Supplementary Planning Document, agreeing to release it for public consultation.

Strategic Planning Committee - Tuesday 18th November 2025 3.00 pm

The West Northamptonshire Council's Strategic Planning Committee convened on Tuesday, 18 November 2025, to discuss and decide on two major planning applications in Harpole. Both applications, concerning land at Norwood Farm and land north west of Upper High Street, were approved in line with officer recommendations, subject to conditions.

Cabinet - Tuesday 11th November 2025 6.00 pm

West Northamptonshire Council's Cabinet met to discuss a range of issues, including housing management, budget adjustments for the Market Square project, and several annual reports related to safeguarding and education. The Cabinet approved a phased approach to bring housing services management back into the council, an increase to the Market Square capital budget, and the adoption of a policy statement for supporting children unable to attend school.

Strategic Planning Committee - Tuesday 21st October 2025 2.00 pm

The Strategic Planning Committee met on Tuesday to discuss four planning applications. Councillors approved reserved matters for industrial buildings at Towcester Park and approved recommendations for the Kab Seating Ltd site, while also refusing the Podium Business Park application and deferring a decision on the Car Park Railway Station application.

Adult Social Care, Health and Communities Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday 14th October 2025 6.00 pm

The Adult Social Care, Health and Communities Overview and Scrutiny Committee were scheduled to discuss the Community Safety Partnership Annual Report, and the draft Domestic Abuse Strategy at their meeting. They were also scheduled to be advised of the new prioritisation toolkit endorsed by the Overview and Scrutiny Triangulation Group, and to review their work programme for the 2025-26 municipal year.
