Full Council - Wednesday, 9th July, 2025 7.00 pm
The Hammersmith and Fulham Council Full Council meeting addressed topics ranging from local governance and finance to community and environmental concerns. The council welcomed Councillor Liam Downer-Sanderson, who was elected in the recent by-election, and also approved motions concerning the Macbeth Centre, free school breakfasts, climate change initiatives, and improvements to Uxbridge Road.
Health & Wellbeing Board - Monday, 23rd June, 2025 6.30 pm
Councillor Alex Sanderson, Deputy Leader, chaired the Health and Wellbeing Board meeting, which ratified the Better Care Fund quarter four report, heard highlights from the People's Department, and received the North West London Child Death Overview Panel annual report. The board also noted progress on the Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment.
Wormwood Scrubs Charitable Trust Committee - Wednesday, 18th June, 2025 6.30 pm
The Wormwood Scrubs Charitable Trust Committee met to discuss a range of issues, including the decommissioning of the KAA2 site[^1], the performance of grounds maintenance contracts, and updates on capital projects at the Linford Christie Stadium. The committee approved delegating authority to Councillor Alex Sanderson, Deputy Leader (with responsibility for Children and Education) and Lead Member for Inclusive Community Engagement and Co-production, the Chair, for final sign off on the Kensington Dragons Football Club lease, and to authorise solutions for track refurbishment up to £100,000. The committee also discussed the future of Park Lodge, considering its demolition due to structural issues.
Cabinet - Monday, 16th June, 2025 7.00 pm
The Hammersmith and Fulham Council cabinet met on 16 June 2025, and agreed to adopt a food plan and a housing retrofit strategy. The cabinet also approved a procurement strategy for genito-urinary medicine (GUM) sexual health services.
Licensing Committee - Tuesday, 3rd June, 2025 7.00 pm
Councillor Mercy Umeh, Chair of Licensing Committee, led a meeting of the Licensing Committee, where members reviewed the annual licensing report, covering April 2024 to March 2025, and discussed a new draft Markets and Street Trading Licensing Policy. The committee agreed to put the updated Prescribed Standard Conditions for Street Trading Licences, the updated Regulation of Commodities for Street Trading Licences 2025, and the draft recommended Markets & Street Trading Licensing Policy 2025 – 2030 out for consultation. They also agreed to allow officers to consult on a proposal for the council to declare market rights, and a proposal to designate the whole borough or more streets for regulated street trading activities.
