Malmesbury Area Board - Tuesday 8 July 2025 7.00 pm

The Malmesbury Area Board met to discuss a range of community issues, including updates from partners such as Wiltshire Police and Community First. Councillors considered grant applications, reviewed highway improvement projects, and discussed strategic frameworks for community engagement. The board approved funding for the Malmesbury Public Living Room and discussed priorities for the coming year.

Northern Area Planning Committee - Wednesday 2 July 2025 3.00 pm

The Northern Area Planning Committee of Wiltshire Council met to discuss planning appeals and a planning application for a self-build home. The committee noted the planning appeals and updates, and approved the planning application for a self-build home subject to conditions and a legal agreement.

Health Select Committee - Thursday 5 June 2025 10.30 am

The Health Select Committee was scheduled to meet to elect a chairman and vice-chairman, and to discuss and develop their work programme. The committee was also expected to receive updates from cabinet members. The meeting was preceded by a briefing for committee members about the role and processes of Overview and Scrutiny.

Northern Area Planning Committee - Wednesday 4 June 2025 2.00 pm

The Northern Area Planning Committee were scheduled to meet to discuss planning appeals, updates, and consider two planning applications relating to Fordlands, Main Road, Christian Malford, Chippenham, and land north of Chelworth Road, Cricklade Industrial Estate, Cricklade.

Council - Tuesday 20 May 2025 10.30 am

The annual meeting of Wiltshire Council saw Councillor Laura Mayes elected as the new chairman, and Councillor Ruth Hopkinson elected as vice-chairman. Councillor Ian Thorne was appointed leader of the council for 2025-2029, and he announced his cabinet. Councillors also voted to delegate decisions on committee appointments to a later meeting, and to authorise work to establish a new financial scrutiny committee.
