The Northern Area Planning Committee were scheduled to meet to discuss planning appeals, updates, and consider two planning applications relating to Fordlands, Main Road, Christian Malford, Chippenham, and land north of Chelworth Road, Cricklade Industrial Estate, Cricklade.

Extraordinary - On the rising of Full Council, not before 11am, Malmesbury Area Board - Tuesday 20 May 2025 11.00 am

At the Malmesbury Area Board meeting, Councillor Chuck Berry was elected as Chairman, Councillor Gavin Grant was elected as Vice-Chairman, and Councillor Elizabeth Threlfall was appointed as the lead member for the Local Highways and Footpath Improvement Group (LHFIG).

Council - Tuesday 20 May 2025 10.30 am

The annual meeting of Wiltshire Council saw Councillor Laura Mayes elected as the new chairman, and Councillor Ruth Hopkinson elected as vice-chairman. Councillor Ian Thorne was appointed leader of the council for 2025-2029, and he announced his cabinet. Councillors also voted to delegate decisions on committee appointments to a later meeting, and to authorise work to establish a new financial scrutiny committee.

The Northern Area Planning Committee were scheduled to meet on 16 April 2025 to discuss planning appeals, and consider planning applications for a site in Lydiard Millicent.

Audit and Governance Committee - Thursday 10 April 2025 10.30 am

The Audit and Governance Committee met on 10 April 2025, to discuss external audit reports, the Statement of Accounts 2023/24, accounting policies, internal audit reports, and the forward work programme. The committee delegated approval of the Statement of Accounts 2023/24 and associated documents to the Corporate Director of Resources (S151 Officer) in consultation with the Chair of the Audit & Governance Committee, and approved an amendment to the Annual Governance Statement (AGS) 2023/24. The committee also received presentations on management action plans related to internal audits of Business Continuity, Business Information and Data Quality, and Leisure Income Financial Controls.
