The Rating Advisory Panel of Westminster Council convened to discuss changes to membership, declarations of interest, and applications for NNDR Discretionary and Hardship Relief. A recommendation was made to exclude the public and press from a portion of the meeting due to the discussion of exempt information.

Council - Wednesday 12th November, 2025 7.00 pm

Westminster City Council met on Wednesday 12 November 2025, and approved the programme of meetings for 2026/2027, and a constitutional update relating to the delegation of functions under the London Squares Preservation Act 1931. Councillors also debated and approved a motion standing united against the rise of the far right and in support of inclusive communities.

The Westminster Council Rating Advisory Panel met on Tuesday 4 November 2025. Councillor Concia Albert was scheduled to chair the meeting. The main item on the agenda was a discussion of NNDR Discretionary and Hardship Relief Applications.

Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Thursday 9th October, 2025 6.30 pm

The Overview and Scrutiny Committee met to discuss a range of topics, including a review of the street trading and markets policy, social value in Westminster, and high street curation programmes, with a focus on the Meanwhile On initiative. The committee made several recommendations, including that a review date be written into the future street trading policy, and that the council develops a robust pathway and relationship development process with landlords to encourage them to work with the council. The committee also requested additional information on the impact of the temporary pedestrianisation of Oxford Street, the powers provided by the Public Space Protection Order on pedicabs, procurement weighting, support for older people through social value projects, timelines for section 106 social value requirements, and a breakdown of employment support given to Westminster residents.

Vulnerable Adults, Health and Communities Policy and Scrutiny Committee - Thursday 18th September, 2025 6.30 pm

The Vulnerable Adults, Health and Communities Policy and Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the Community Priorities Programme and grants, the Community Hubs Programme, and to shape the committee's work programme for the 2025-2026 municipal year. The committee reviewed the investment in community grants, their allocation, and the second year of delivery of the Community Priorities Programme. They also reviewed the delivery of the Community Hubs Programme.
