The County Council meeting scheduled for Wednesday 18 February 2026 was set to cover a wide range of significant topics, including the adoption of the Medium-Term Financial Strategy (MTFS) for 2026/27 to 2029/30, which includes the draft budget and council tax precept for 2026/27. Discussions were also scheduled on corporate parenting, the council's constitution, and updates from scrutiny committees and working groups. Additionally, the meeting agenda included the presentation of the Gloucestershire Pension Fund Annual Report for 2024/25.

Gloucestershire Police and Crime Panel - Monday 2 February 2026 10.00 am

The Gloucestershire Police and Crime Panel was scheduled to discuss the proposed Gloucestershire Police Council Tax Precept for 2026/2027, alongside an update from the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) and a report from the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) Chief Executive. The Planning Committee of Gloucestershire Council met on Thursday 29 January 2026 to discuss two significant planning applications. The committee refused permission for the continued use of land for aggregate recycling at Allstone Sand and Gravel Centre in Myers Road, Gloucester, citing inadequate information, noise, dust, landscape, and cumulative impact concerns. Conversely, the committee resolved to grant planning permission for the demolition of Jordan's Brook House and the construction of a GP surgery, along with outline permission for 10 new dwellings, on North Upton Lane, Gloucester.
