About

The Gloucestershire Police and Crime Panel is a joint body of local authorities within Gloucestershire, responsible for scrutinising the work of the Police and Crime Commissioner. Its primary function is to provide a check and balance on the Commissioner's performance, supporting and challenging them to ensure effective exercise of their duties. The panel comprises fourteen appointed councillors from the constituent local authorities and two co-opted independent members, with Gloucestershire County Council providing administrative support.
