Corporate Parenting Committee - Monday, 2 February 2026 - 5.30 pm

The Corporate Parenting Committee of Brent Council was scheduled to discuss the outcomes of a recent Ofsted focused visit, the implementation of the Brent Looked After Children and Care Leavers Placement Sufficiency Strategy 2025-2029, and an update on the progress of opening the local authority's own Residential Children's Home. The meeting also included an update from representatives of Brent Care Journeys 2.0.

Health and Wellbeing Board - Thursday, 29 January 2026 - 6.00 pm

The Health and Wellbeing Board of Brent Council was scheduled to discuss a range of topics aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of residents. Key agenda items included an overview of inequalities within Brent, the annual Public Health report, and an update on the Brent Health Matters programme. The board was also set to review progress on working together in neighbourhoods.

Schools Forum - Monday, 26 January 2026 - 6.00 pm

The Schools Forum of Brent Council was scheduled to discuss proposals for the Dedicated Schools Grant (DSG) for the 2026/27 academic year, covering both the schools block and the early years block. The forum was also due to review the forward plan for future discussions.

Cabinet - Monday 19 January 2026 10.00 am

The Cabinet meeting on Monday 19 January 2026 was scheduled to discuss a range of significant financial and strategic matters for Brent Council. Key topics included the council's financial forecast for the third quarter of the 2025-26 financial year, an update on treasury management activities, and proposals for the council's digital roadmap for 2026-28. The meeting also planned to address capital investment programmes for school places for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), the South Kilburn District Heat Network, and the admission arrangements for Brent schools.

Community and Wellbeing Scrutiny Committee - Monday 19 January 2026 6.00 pm

The Community and Wellbeing Scrutiny Committee was scheduled to discuss emergency planning and updates on the Casey Review, as well as Brent's progress and challenges in tackling poverty. The committee was also set to review its work programme and recommendations tracker for the upcoming year.
