Licensing Sub Committee A - Monday, 30th June, 2025 6.45 pm

The Islington Council Licensing Sub Committee A met on 30 June 2025 to review the premises licence for Cally Local, 490 Caledonian Road, following a closure order issued by Highbury Corner Magistrates Court. Councillors voted to revoke the licence, citing the licensee's failure to uphold the licensing objective of the prevention of crime and disorder.

Licensing Sub Committee A - Thursday, 26th June, 2025 6.30 pm

The Licensing Sub Committee A was scheduled to meet to consider new premises licence applications for three businesses, and a premises licence variation application for one business. Councillor Heather Staff, Chair of Licensing Committee and Migrants Champion, Councillor Gary Heather, and Councillor Rosaline Ogunro, Deputy Mayor, were scheduled to be in attendance. The meeting was to be held in Committee Room 4 at the Town Hall.

Homes and Communities Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday, 17th June, 2025 7.30 pm

The Homes and Communities Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the council's response to rough sleeping and to select a scrutiny topic for the 2025/26 municipal year. The committee agreed that homelessness would be the scrutiny topic for the year, allowing for a wider scope including temporary accommodation, rent capping, and lobbying the government. They also noted the membership, terms of reference, and dates of future meetings.

The Islington Council Licensing Committee met on 10 June 2025 to discuss changes to the membership of the Licensing Sub-Committees. Councillor Heather Staff, Chair of Licensing Committee and Migrants Champion, was scheduled to chair the meeting.

Licensing Regulatory Committee - Monday, 9th June, 2025 6.30 pm

The Licensing Regulatory Committee was scheduled to meet to discuss street trading fees and charges, as well as the committee's membership and terms of reference. The committee was also scheduled to note the minutes of the previous meeting.
