The Community, Cultural, and Corporate Services Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the first year delivery report of the council's digital strategy, and to consider the data informing proposals for local government reorganisation (LGR). The committee reviewed the progress of the digital strategy, provided feedback on priorities for the coming year, and discussed areas for future focus. Councillors also examined data sets related to LGR, exploring potential impacts and raising concerns about resident representation and service delivery.

Children, Families and Skills Scrutiny Committee - Wednesday, 22nd October, 2025 10.30 am

The Children, Families and Skills Scrutiny Committee met to discuss corporate parenting, the Lancashire House Project, and the Where Our Children Live programme, and to review the committee's work programme for the coming year. The committee agreed to review the Corporate Parenting Strategy in April 2026, prior to its submission to the cabinet in October 2026, and requested an update on cohort four of the Lancashire House Project in spring 2026. The committee also requested that Lancashire County Council liaise with district councils to reduce the number of private care homes.

Full Council - Thursday, 16th October, 2025 1.00 pm

The upcoming Full Council meeting is set to address a variety of topics, including community safety, the members' allowance scheme, and the annual review of overview and scrutiny. Councillors will also discuss committee appointments, the Lancashire County Pension Fund, and the council's meeting schedule for 2026/27.

Corporate Parenting Board - Wednesday, 1st October, 2025 6.00 pm

The Lancashire County Council Corporate Parenting Board met on Wednesday to review its constitution and membership, receive updates from the Participation Team and the Pendle District Team, and to discuss the PayPoint payment service, the Mental Health Pathways Directory, the Care Leavers' Survey, and the upcoming Care Leaver Month in November. The board reviewed and noted its constitution and membership.

Pension Fund Committee - Friday, 19th September, 2025 10.30 am

The Lancashire County Council Pension Fund Committee met to discuss responsible investment, review the draft funding strategy statement, and address an urgent matter regarding the McCloud remedy[^2] and reporting requirements. The committee also reviewed pension-related training for its members and the Pension Fund Annual Report 2024/25.
