The Health and Wellbeing Board met on Thursday 2 July 2026 to discuss the implementation of the Neighbourhood Health model, with a particular focus on frailty, and to review the Better Care Fund performance and plans. The Board agreed to continue focusing on frailty within Integrated Neighbourhood Teams (INTs) and approved the forward plan for future board meetings. They also noted and approved the 2025/26 Better Care Fund end-of-year report and the proposals for the 2026/27 Better Care Fund plan.

Key decisions included endorsing actions to combat rising tuberculosis rates, noting progress on early homelessness prevention, and agreeing to continue developing the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment. The Board also received updates on the Community Equipment Service and the ongoing consultation regarding the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre.

Health and Social Care Scrutiny Sub Committee - Tuesday 10 March 2026 6.30 pm

The Health and Social Care Scrutiny Subcommittee meeting addressed the rising incidence of tuberculosis (TB) in Harrow, the findings of the Healthwatch Harrow Annual Report, and the introduction of a new Frailty Hospital at Home service. Decisions were made to endorse the approach to tackling TB, agree actions to ensure local TB services are appropriately designed and resourced, and review relevant policies. The committee also noted the Healthwatch Harrow Annual Report and the new Harrow Frailty Hospital at Home model.

The Health and Wellbeing Board of Harrow Council met on Thursday 08 January 2026 to discuss winter preparedness, a whole systems approach to weight management, and support for residents with severe and multiple disadvantages. Key decisions included noting the winter preparedness framework, endorsing the whole systems approach to healthy weight, and agreeing to further investigate support for residents with severe and multiple disadvantages.
