The Planning Committee of North West Leicestershire Council met on Tuesday 14 April 2026 to discuss and determine three planning applications. The committee granted permission in principle for five self-build dwellings on land at the rear of The Brambles, Lower Moor Road, Coleorton, and for a single self-build dwelling on land to the east of 56 Loughborough Road, Coleorton. Permission was also granted, subject to conditions, for the erection of a single storey detached dwelling on land to the rear of 46 Garfield Road, Hugglescote, and for the change of use of a dwellinghouse at 81 Main Street, Thringstone, to a children's care home for up to three young people.

The Planning Committee of North West Leicestershire Council met on Tuesday 10 March 2026 to discuss several planning applications. The committee refused an application for the erection of 35 B8 units at Land North of Hilltop Farm, Castle Donington, citing no immediate need, negative impacts on residential amenity, and conflict with local plan policies. They approved the change of use and conversion of Lyndhurst Lodge, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, into three Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs) with additional conditions, and also approved reserved matters for a large B8 distribution unit at the Former Lounge Disposal Point, Coleorton.
