The review was requested by Infrastructure Services Committee and takes into account alignment with Council priorities, the effectiveness of the organisations in supporting these and the resources available to facilitate Council participation.

This report follows the Member Promoted Issue (MPI) raised by Councillor Sullivan at Kincardine & Mearns Area Committee, in support of the Newtonhill Community, relating to the installation of additional Christmas Lights in Newtonhill. Following Kincardine & Mearns Area Committee on 29 October 2024, the Committee instructed Roads & Infrastructure Services to submit a report to Infrastructure Services Committee to seek approval of the installation contrary to the current Council Policy.
