Community Wellbeing Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Thursday, 2nd October, 2025 10.00 am

The Community Wellbeing Overview and Scrutiny Committee convened to discuss and provide feedback on the Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service's (CFRS) Medium Term Financial Plan 2025-26, the CFRS Productivity and Efficiency Plan 2025-26, and the Food and Feed Hygiene and Standards Plan 2025-26, all of which were recommended for approval to the Cabinet Member for Community Safety and Public Health. The committee also reviewed updates from various cabinet members.

Licensing Act Sub Committee - Wednesday, 1st October, 2025 10.00 am

The Licensing Act Sub Committee met to consider an application for a new premises licence for Sahara City, 38 Cliff Road, Newquay, TR7 2ND. The application was for a grant of a premises licence, but following representations from the Fire Authority, and discussion of the location of the premises within the Newquay Cumulative Impact Zone Area[^2], the application was refused.

Strategic Planning Committee - Thursday, 25th September, 2025 10.00 am

Licensing Act Sub Committee - Wednesday, 24th September, 2025 10.00 am

The Licensing Act Sub Committee met to consider an application from A Ron's Security Ltd for a premises licence for The Venue, St Merryn Holiday Village, St Merryn. The committee decided to grant the licence, subject to conditions proposed by the applicant and an additional condition requiring the maintenance of a noise incident book.

Central Sub-Area Planning Committee - Monday, 22nd September, 2025 10.00 am

The Central Sub-Area Planning Committee met on Monday, 22nd September 2025 to consider several planning applications, including proposals for new housing developments, alterations to a care home, and the installation of Smart Hubs in Truro. The committee also had an appeals report for information.
