Corporate Parenting Panel - Wednesday, 29th October, 2025 10.00 am
The Corporate Parenting Panel of Lincolnshire Council met on Wednesday 29 October 2025 to discuss its work programme and to engage with young people about their experiences. Highways and Transport Scrutiny Committee - Monday, 20th October, 2025 10.00 am
The Highways and Transport Scrutiny Committee met to discuss a range of issues, including approving a new Rights of Way Improvement Plan, increasing fees for the Lincolnshire Permit Scheme, and reviewing the Highways Engagement and Liaison Strategy. The committee also reviewed reports on traffic regulation orders, pedestrian crossing facilities, and civil parking enforcement. Finally, the committee work programme was reviewed and endorsed.
Children's and Culture Scrutiny Committee - Friday, 17th October, 2025 10.00 am
The Children's and Culture Scrutiny Committee met to discuss several key issues, including updates to the Young Carers Scrutiny Review Action Plan, the Childcare Sufficiency in Lincolnshire, and the Children's Services Annual Statutory Complaints Report. The committee agreed to receive a second monitoring update on the Young Carers Scrutiny Review Action Plan in April 2026, and were assured on the Childcare Sufficiency Assessment for 2025 and the performance of children's services in relation to the annual statutory complaints report. Due to the inclusion of exempt information, the public and press were excluded from the discussion of education provision planning.
Council - Friday, 12th September, 2025 10.30 am
Councillor Stephen Bunney, Chairman of the Council, opened the meeting with tributes to former councillors and staff, before councillors moved to discuss the financial performance review, the youth justice plan, and a motion regarding asylum seekers. Councillors approved the Lincolnshire Youth Justice Plan 2025-28, and voted to approve an amended motion regarding the location of asylum seekers in the county. They also approved the calendar of meetings for 2026/27, and made appointments to committees and outside bodies.
Highways and Transport Scrutiny Committee - Monday, 8th September, 2025 10.00 am
The Lincolnshire County Council's Highways and Transport Scrutiny Committee met on 8 September 2025, and members reviewed the regional rail strategy, highways performance, major projects, and road safety initiatives. The committee supported a recommendation to approve the proposed Bailgate, Lincoln Scheme, and also supported the proposed recommendation to approve the Spalding – Pinchbeck Active Travel Cycleway tender award. The committee also supported recommendations to approve three strategic resurfacing schemes for the A6121 Ryhall Road, Stamford, the A17/A151 Holbeach and Fleet Hargate, and the A52 Leverton and Haltoft End.
