The committee decided to grant the application in full, permitting the sale of alcohol (off sales) from 07:00 to 23:00, Monday to Sunday. This decision was made after considering representations from the applicant, a local business owner, and reviewing the council's licensing policy and Home Office guidance.

Grant of a Premises Licence: De Essence, 417 Lea Bridge Road, Leyton, E10 7EA, Licensing Act 2003 Sub-Committee - Thursday, 9th October, 2025 10.00 am

The Licensing Act 2003 Sub-Committee met to consider an application for a new premises licence for De Essence Restaurant & Lounge Ltd. The committee decided to grant the application in full, with some revisions to the proposed times and additional conditions added to the licence. These conditions had been agreed upon following discussions between the applicant, the licensing team, and the Metropolitan Police.
