Development Control Committee - Wednesday, 15th October, 2025 9.30 am
The Lancashire County Council Development Control Committee met to discuss several planning applications, including a proposal for sand and gravel extraction in Preesall, a waste processing building in Hillhouse International Business Park, and a residential development in South Ribble. The committee refused the application for sand and gravel extraction, but approved the other two applications, subject to conditions.

The Lancashire County Council's Development Control Committee met to discuss planning applications, ultimately deferring a decision on a new primary school in Preston and approving conditions for another. The committee also noted the withdrawal of an application concerning land at Round O Quarry in West Lancashire.

Lancashire County Council's Full Council met on 17 July 2025, and among other things, approved the Lancashire Child and Youth Justice Plan 2025-26, and agreed to review its policy on flying flags over council property, prioritising the Union Flag, the Flag of England, the Lancashire Flag, royal flags, and military flags and ensigns. The council also discussed the financial challenges it faces, and heard questions from councillors and members of the public.

The Development Control Committee met to discuss planning applications for an energy recovery centre, a quarry, and a generation station. The committee approved the energy recovery centre, but deferred a decision on the quarry to allow for a review of drainage. They approved the continued use of the generation station.
Regulatory Committee - Wednesday, 18th June, 2025 10.30 am
The Regulatory Committee of Lancashire County Council met on 18 June 2025, and among other items, the committee approved the making of a Definitive Map Modification Order to record a public bridleway along Sandyhall Lane in Barrowford, and agreed to appoint an independent inspector to determine an application to register land known as 'The Hellicliffes' as a town or village green. The committee also approved the making of an order to add a footpath at Chorley Road, Withnell, and approved a diversion to a footpath at Wood End, Silverdale.
