Aberdeenshire Guidance for Deactivating an Early Learning and Childcare Setting

The operational decision to deactivate an Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) setting is made by the Director of Education and Children’s Services in consultation with the Education and Children’s Services Leadership Team.?The operational decision to deactivate could be taken in 3 scenarios and will be taken by assessing identified factors for consideration. Committee is requested to acknowledge and consider progress made during April to September 2024 toward achieving the Council Plan Priorities 2024-2029 referred to in Appendix 1; and instruct the Director of Education & Children’s Services to continue to present performance reports to the Area Committee on a six-monthly basis, in line with the Performance Management Framework, evidencing progress and performance with delivery of the Council Plan with an Area perspective.
