Standing Advisory Council of Religious Education (SACRE) - Thursday, 27th March, 2025 6.15 pm
The Lewisham Standing Advisory Council of Religious Education (SACRE) met on 27 March 2025 to discuss religious education (RE) at St Bartholomew's CE Primary School, the role of Lewisham's Young Mayor, and the adoption of a self-evaluation tool for schools. The meeting also included a review of the previous meeting's minutes and an update on the Agreed Syllabus Conference (ASC).
BUDGET, Council - Wednesday, 5th March, 2025 7.30 pm
This meeting was about setting Lewisham Council's budget for 2025/26. It included discussion of the council's overall financial position, a proposed increase to council tax, and the setting of housing rents.
Anti-Social Behaviour Task and Finish Group - Wednesday, 26th February, 2025 6.00 pm
This meeting was to consider the scope of a review into how the Lewisham Council and its partners respond to anti-social behaviour in the borough. Councillors were scheduled to be asked to consider a scoping report that outlined the issues, to define the intended outcomes of their review, agree what questions they would ask, who they would ask them to, and how they were going to get it done.
Standing Advisory Council of Religious Education (SACRE) - Wednesday, 12th February, 2025 6.30 pm
This meeting was to receive a report on the recent Jewish Life Exhibition at Catford & Bromley Synagogue, consider advice for schools about the upcoming month of Ramadan, and review a report on religious education in Lewisham schools. It also included the formal proposal that the committee request that Lewisham Council convene an Agreed Syllabus Conference to review the current Religious Education syllabus in Lewisham schools.
