The Mayor and Cabinet meeting on 21 January 2026 addressed a wide range of issues, including the definition of housing delivery, the management of events on Blackheath, and the approval of several key housing and social care policies and contracts. Significant decisions were made regarding the regeneration of Catford Town Centre and Lewisham Shopping Centre, as well as strategies to tackle empty homes and improve the borough's SEND provision.

Appointments Committee - Friday, 19th December, 2025 9.30 am

The Lewisham Council Appointments Committee is scheduled to meet to elect a chair and vice chair, and to discuss the appointment of an Executive Director of Children and Young People. Members will also be asked to declare any personal interests they have in the items on the agenda.

Pensions Investment Committee - Thursday, 18th December, 2025 7.00 pm

The Pensions Investment Committee is scheduled to discuss a range of topics at its upcoming meeting. These include investment proposals, the triennial valuation[^2] results, updates on pooling investments, feedback from a meeting with Blackrock[^3], and investment monitoring. Some of these items may be discussed in a closed session, excluding the press and public.

Public Transport Liaison Forum - Wednesday, 17th December, 2025 7.00 pm

The Public Transport Liaison Forum is scheduled to discuss updates from transport providers, questions raised about transport services, and declarations of interest from members. Southeastern Railway's investment plans, including station improvements and rolling stock upgrades, are scheduled to be discussed. Also on the agenda is the problem of abandoned Lime e-bikes blocking pavements.
