Community Wellbeing Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Thursday, 17th July, 2025 10.00 am
The Community Wellbeing Overview and Scrutiny Committee were scheduled to discuss the Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service's (CFRS) annual assurance statement, and a consultation proposal for the CFRS's Community Risk Management Plan 2026-2030. The committee was also scheduled to review the Safer Cornwall annual report, and to approve their work programme for the coming year.
Strategic Planning Committee - Thursday, 10th July, 2025 10.00 am
The Strategic Planning Committee met to discuss two planning applications and a list of appeals. The committee voted to refuse an application for a solar farm near St Dennis and deferred a decision on a geothermal power plant near Camelford pending a technical briefing.

Councillors voted to approve an application for a new dwelling at land east of Plen An Merther, subject to conditions being agreed. Councillors voted to approve permission in principle for the erection of a bungalow on land to the rear of North Roskear Road.

Cornwall Council's Cabinet was scheduled to meet on 18 June 2025 to discuss the council's performance and finances, as well as the impact of key government policies and funding reforms.
