Extraordinary meeting, Council Assembly - Wednesday 19 March 2025 9.00 pm

The Council Assembly met to discuss the award of Freedoms of the Borough. The Council resolved to agree the recommendations for the award, although the names of the people or organisations to receive the honour were discussed in private and are not public knowledge. The meeting started at 9pm and finished at 10.30pm.

Licensing Sub-Committee - Tuesday 18 March 2025 10.00 am

The Licensing Sub-Committee was scheduled to consider an application made by Berenjak Restaurants Limited to vary the premises licence for Berenjak Borough, a restaurant on Bedale Street in Southwark. The application proposed changes to the internal layout of the first floor and adjustments to the operating hours.

Decision-making meeting, South multi-ward forum - Wednesday 12 March 2025 7.00 pm

This meeting of the South multi-ward forum was scheduled to include a discussion of applications for funding from the council's Cleaner Greener Safer, Neighbourhoods Fund and Devolved Highways schemes, as well as approval of the previous meeting's minutes. It also included a report about underspends from the previous year, and how they were to be reallocated.

Audit, Governance and Standards (Civic Awards) Sub-Committee - Monday 3 March 2025 6.00 pm

This meeting was scheduled to discuss the short-listed nominations for the Southwark Civic Awards 2025 and to grant awards to the nominees.

Environment Scrutiny Commission - Thursday 27 February 2025 7.00 pm

The agenda for this meeting included an interview with a Cabinet Member, presentations and discussions about encouraging community gardening, active travel, biodiversity corridors, provision of cycle parking and commissioning for behaviour change, a briefing and update on estate waste, a response to two draft Supplementary Planning Documents, and a discussion of the work programme.
