The Constitution Committee of Gloucestershire Council was scheduled to discuss proposed changes to the council's constitution, including amendments to the terms of reference for the Pensions Committee and the handling of council questions. The committee was also set to consider proposed changes relating to the Appeals Committee and associated procedures for senior officers.

Commons and Rights of Way Committee - Tuesday 16 December 2025 10.00 am

The Commons and Rights of Way Committee are scheduled to meet to discuss an application to add a public footpath plus a spur footpath at Juniper Hill, Painswick Parish, and to note a report on delegated decisions. The committee will also answer questions from the public and members on applications and other matters within the committee's remit.

The Gloucestershire Economic Strategy Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the City Region Board update, the Spatial Development Strategy, and the Green Skills Strategy. The committee was also scheduled to review its work plan for the coming year.

County Council - Wednesday 12 November 2025 10.00 am

The County Council of Gloucestershire met on Wednesday 12 November 2025, with a significant portion of the meeting dedicated to discussing the future structure of local government in the county. Councillors voted to express a preference for a single unitary authority for the whole of Gloucestershire. The council also debated and passed motions concerning the improvement of highways services, the incorporation of young people's views into decision-making, and the impact of proposed inheritance tax changes on the farming community.
