The Doncaster Council meeting on 18 September 2025 included discussion of a motion of no confidence in Mayor Ros Jones, which was not passed, as well as the approval of the Youth Justice Plan 2025/26 and noting the Health and Wellbeing Board's Annual Report 2024/25. Councillors also addressed public questions about flags on lampposts, the closure of Warmsworth Library, and IVF treatment availability.

The Licensing Sub-Committee of Doncaster Council met on Tuesday 16 September 2025 to consider an application for a new premises licence. Councillor Karl Hughes was scheduled to chair the meeting. The Licensing Sub-Committee of Doncaster Council met on 8 September 2025, to consider several reviews of existing private hire and Hackney carriage licenses. The meeting was scheduled to take place at the Council Chamber, Civic Office, Waterdale, Doncaster and the report pack indicates that members of the public and press may have been excluded for some of the meeting. The councillors scheduled to be in attendance were Councillor Karl Hughes, Councillor Nick Allen, Councillor Steven Plater and Councillor Howard Rimmer.

Licensing Sub-Committee - Tuesday, 2nd September, 2025 10.00 am

The Licensing Sub-Committee of Doncaster Council met on 2 September 2025 to review several Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver licences. The sub-committee reviewed eight applications in total, making decisions on whether each applicant was a 'fit and proper' person to hold a licence, in accordance with the council's Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licensing Policy. One application was withdrawn prior to the meeting.

The Licensing Sub-Committee of Doncaster Council met on 4 August 2025, and considered several applications for Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Drivers Licences, ultimately granting two and rejecting three. One application was withdrawn before the meeting.
