The Waltham Forest Council cabinet met on 9 September 2025, and agreed to extend the Environmental Services Contract with FCC for eight years, approved the Social Value Report 2024-2025 and the Social Value Policy 2025-2027 for publication, and noted a potential £15.331 million funding gap in the Medium Term Financial Strategy 2026/27 - 2028/29. They also discussed budget monitoring and the forecast outturn position for revenue, capital, HRA[^1] and DSG[^2] as at month 3.

Waltham Forest Council met on 17 July 2025, and after observing a moment of silence for the victims of the 7/7 attacks and others, councillors discussed a range of issues including play and community spaces, the borough's financial situation, and parking fees. A motion to support and improve play opportunities for children was passed, and several appointments to committees and outside bodies were agreed.

At a meeting of the Waltham Forest Council Cabinet, members approved a plan to acquire 64 homes for use as temporary accommodation, adopted an Asset Transformation Strategy to guide the use of council land and buildings, and agreed to extend the council's joint venture with Norse Group for property services. The Cabinet also agreed to begin consulting on the closure of Church Lane Car Park in Leytonstone, with a view to selling the site for redevelopment.
