Planning and Development Control Committee - Tuesday, 10th June, 2025 7.00 pm

The Planning and Development Control Committee of Hammersmith and Fulham Council met on 10 June 2025, and approved plans for a new hotel in King's Mall Shopping Centre, a show venue in Westfield London Shopping Centre, and an extension to the Holiday Inn Express. Councillors also approved the construction of a new underpass for pedestrians and cyclists to run under the A40, connecting the Imperial White City campus and Latimer Road.

Pensions Board - Wednesday, 4th June, 2025 7.00 pm

Councillor Ashok Patel, Chair of the Pensions Board, welcomed attendees to the meeting, where members appointed Councillor Ashok Patel as chair and Councillor Nikos Souslous as vice chair for the 2025-2026 municipal year. The board reviewed key performance indicators, a pension administration update, and the pension fund's quarterly performance, focusing on investment strategies and regulatory compliance. Overpayments totalling £39,647.59 were written off, and members discussed the upcoming pensions dashboard and its potential benefits.

Special Meeting, Full Council - Wednesday, 21st May, 2025 8.00 pm

The Hammersmith and Fulham Council convened a special meeting to bestow the honour of Freedom of the Borough on the Coldstream Guards, recognising their distinguished military service. Councillor Stephen Cowan, Leader of the Council, formally moved the report and recommendations, which were then agreed upon by the council. Several councillors spoke in support of the motion, highlighting the Coldstream Guards' historical significance, their contributions to the community, and the sacrifices made by their members and families.
