The Cornwall Council Cabinet met to discuss the Council Performance Report for Quarter 2 of 2025/26, the Draft Council Priorities Plan 2026-30, and several strategies and commissioning plans. The cabinet approved the draft Council Priorities 2026-2030 for public consultation, and also approved the Home Based Prevention and Intermediate Care Business Case, and to commence a procurement process for Sexual and Reproductive Health Services. They also formally adopted the 'Our Customer Philosophy 2025-2030' and the 'CornwALL Connected Digital Inclusion Strategy 2025-2030'.

The Standards Committee met to discuss complaints handling and ethical standards, and to review the annual letter from the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman (LGSCO). The committee agreed to continue monitoring waste service complaints, requested more information on invoicing and payments, and asked for clarification on statistics in the LGSCO report. Additionally, the committee agreed to extend restrictions on an individual under the Unreasonable Customer Behaviour Policy.

The Budget Development Overview and Scrutiny Committee of Cornwall Council met on Wednesday, 22nd October, 2025, to discuss the council's principles, values and priorities for 2026-2030, and to review the key financial assumptions underpinning the Medium-Term Financial Plan 2026-30 and 2026/27 budget. The meeting was also scheduled to cover questions from the public, and the approval of minutes from previous meetings.

The committee also reviewed updates from various cabinet members.
