Pensions Committee - Tuesday, 3rd December, 2024 7.00 pm
This meeting of the Pensions Committee was scheduled to receive updates on the performance of the Islington Pension Fund and the London Collective Investment Vehicle (CIV), as well as to discuss an interim funding review, progress on the implementation of the Investment Strategy and the restructuring of the passive equity portfolio.
Extraordinary, Council - Tuesday, 19th November, 2024 6.30 pm, NEW
Councillor Una O'Halloran was elected as the new leader of Islington Council. She is the first leader of the council to have been born and raised in the borough, and the first to have been a lifelong council tenant. She was elected unanimously by councillors after being proposed and seconded by Labour councillors, and welcomed by councillors from the Green party.
Audit and Risk Committee - Monday, 18th November, 2024 7.00 pm
The committee noted reports on the financial status of the council, the integration of health and social care services, and a risk assessment of the council's value for money. The committee also reviewed and approved changes to the council's Financial Regulations and Procurement Rules.
Planning Committee - Thursday, 14th November, 2024 7.30 pm
The meeting was scheduled to consider a number of planning and listed building consent applications across the borough. In total three applications were scheduled to be discussed at locations in Amwell Street, Chiswell Street and the Barnsbury Estate. Planning sub-committees for the 2024/25 municipal year were also scheduled to be appointed.
Children and Young People Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday, 22nd October, 2024 7.00 pm
The committee endorsed the Islington Care Leavers and Housing Protocol and noted the Islington Safeguarding Children Board Annual Report, the Child Protection Annual Report, and the Youth Justice Service Inspection Report.
