The Overview and Scrutiny Performance Board (OSPB) met to discuss community safety in Worcestershire, review their work programme, and receive updates from scrutiny chairmen and lead members. A key focus of the meeting was scheduled to be the annual update on community safety, with a specific overview of Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG). The board was also expected to discuss and comment on the Cabinet Forward Plan.

The West Mercia Police and Crime Panel met to discuss the Police and Crime Commissioner's activity and performance, and to review the budget metrics. Councillor Barry Durkin, Chairman of the Panel, expressed disappointment that the panel had not been informed of budget issues in a timely manner. The panel agreed to set up working groups to look at the budget and digital services, and to invite the Chief Constable to future meetings.

The West Mercia Police and Crime Panel met to discuss the Police and Crime Commissioner's (PCC) activity and police performance, review the draft annual report, and set the work programme for the coming year. The panel heard updates on PCSO deployment, road safety initiatives, cybercrime strategies, and financial challenges facing West Mercia Police. The panel also noted the appointment of Jocelyn Anderson as a Lay Independent Co-opted Member.

The West Mercia Police and Crime Panel - Independent Member Appointment Panel met to welcome attendees, confirm the minutes of the previous meeting, and to consider the appointment of a lay independent co-opted member. The Assistant Director for Legal and Governance, County Hall, Samantha Morris, was scheduled to be available to answer questions about the agenda. Councillors Barry Durkin, Liz Harvey and Vivienne Parry were scheduled to be in attendance.

Health and Wellbeing Board - Tuesday, 17th June, 2025 2.00 pm

The Worcestershire Health and Wellbeing Board met to discuss community health initiatives, NHS updates, community safety, and the Better Care Fund. The board noted the success of community-led approaches to public health, received an update on NHS reorganisations and priorities, discussed strategies for community safety, and approved the Better Care Fund plan for 2025/26.
