Place and Resources Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Wednesday 3rd September 2025 6.00 pm

The Place and Resources Overview and Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the budget scrutiny process for 2025/26, receive updates on budget monitoring and the Medium Term Financial Plan (MTFP), and review the waste collection and cleansing services. The committee agreed to its budget scrutiny process for the upcoming year and received feedback on the consultation of the Local Plan for West Northamptonshire. The committee also reviewed and noted its work programme.

Call In Hearing, Place and Resources Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday 19th August 2025 7.00 pm

The Place and Resources Overview and Scrutiny Committee convened to address a call-in regarding a cabinet decision on the Sustainability Strategy Review. Councillor Rosie Humphreys initiated the call-in, supported by several other councillors, to enable scrutiny of the implications of resolutions endorsed by the cabinet on 16 July 2025. The committee was scheduled to consider whether to refer the decision back to the cabinet, refer the matter to the full council, or take no further action.

Alcohol & Gambling Licensing Sub-Committee - Wednesday 30th July 2025 10.00 am

The Alcohol & Gambling Licensing Sub-Committee of West Northamptonshire Council were scheduled to meet remotely via Zoom to discuss a premises licence review application for Istanbul Mega Market. The sub-committee were also expected to decide whether to exclude the press and public while they discussed the application.

The Taxi & General Licensing Sub-Committee of West Northamptonshire Council was scheduled to convene on 24 July 2025, to discuss a new private hire driver's licence.
