The Strategic Planning Committee approved the construction of a storage and distribution building at Plot 6, Northampton Gateway Rail Freight Interchange, on 16 December 2025. This approval was granted in accordance with the Case Officer’s recommendation, subject to conditions and the completion of a Section 106 Agreement. The decision includes the allocation of mezzanine floorspace to offset trip generation and a 1-metre increase in building height above the DCO parameter for Zone A3.

The Planning Policy Committee of West Northamptonshire Council approved recommendations for the Grand Union and Oxford Canal Conservation Area Review on 19/11/2025. The committee agreed to designate a new conservation area boundary, approve changes to the appraisal and management plan, and adopt the plan as a Supplementary Planning Document. Delegated authority was given to the Head of Planning Policy and Specialist Services for minor editorial changes.

The committee accepted the Examiner's recommended modifications and agreed that the modified plan should proceed to a referendum. The committee also agreed to revoke existing Statements of Community Involvement and delegated authority to the Head of Planning Policy and Specialist Services to make minor editorial changes.
