The Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority Business and Infrastructure Board met to discuss business and infrastructure strategies, housing, and support for the steel industry. The board endorsed the development of a Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority (GLCCA) infrastructure plan, supported applying for further capacity funding from Homes England to assist with housing, and unanimously agreed to sign the UK Steel Charter.

Lincolnshire Police and Crime Panel - Friday, 6th June, 2025 11.00 am

The Lincolnshire Police and Crime Panel met to elect a chair and vice-chair, address panel composition, review the Police and Crime Commissioner’s annual report, and discuss the HMICFRS PEEL report. Councillor Chris Cook was elected as chair, and Councillor Graham Marsh as vice-chair. The panel also agreed to co-opt an additional member to meet statutory balance requirements.

The Lincolnshire Council Executive met to discuss a new IT contract, appointments to outside bodies and the proposed geological disposal facility (GDF) for nuclear waste at Theddlethorpe. The council voted to withdraw from the Theddlethorpe GDF Community Partnership, and approved recommendations to progress to contractual approval with a new Strategic Technology Partner (STP) to manage the council's IT services. The Executive also approved appointments to outside bodies.

Councillor Steve Bunney was elected as the new Chairman of the council, and Councillor Mike Beecham was appointed as Vice Chairman. Councillors debated and voted on amendments to the council's constitution, including the structure of scrutiny committees, but ultimately approved the proposed changes. Councillor Sean Matthews was elected as the Leader of the Council, and he outlined his priorities for the coming term, including reducing council debt and protecting Lincolnshire's countryside.
