The Cabinet of West Northamptonshire Council decided on 10/03/2026 to approve the proposed Crisis and Resilience Fund local delivery model. They noted that the fund will be managed locally and requires delivery of four mandatory strands. Authority was delegated to the Head of Community Safety, Engagement and Resettlement, in consultation with the Director of Communities and Opportunities, to make operational decisions.

The Cabinet of West Northamptonshire Council decided on 10/03/2026 to note progress on the Planning Service Transformation Programme, endorse the 2026-2030 Action Plan and its monitoring mechanism, and approve bringing in additional resources to accelerate the programme. The Cabinet also endorsed the Planning Advisory Service to undertake a further peer review in late 2026.

The Cabinet of West Northamptonshire Council approved the Housing Adaptations Policy on 10 March 2026. The decision grants delegated authority to the Head of Private Sector Housing to make minor amendments to the policy.

The West Northamptonshire Council Cabinet approved the procurement process for the Income Management System contract via the GCloud software framework on 10 March 2026. Authority was delegated to the Chief Finance Officer, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for HR & Corporate Services, to award the contract to the best fit supplier on behalf of the council and its shared service partners.

The Cabinet of West Northamptonshire Council approved and adopted the Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan for Northampton on 10 March 2026. The plan identifies proposals to enhance local cycling and walking networks over a ten-year period. This includes amending the document based on National Highways requests, adding references to benches and cycle parking, and strengthening wayfinding signage.
