The Northamptonshire Police, Fire and Crime Panel met to discuss the response of Danielle Stone, the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner (PFCC) to a recent Court of Appeal judgement regarding the Chief Constable of Northamptonshire Police. The panel scrutinised the PFCC's discharge of her statutory functions in response to the judgement. A recommendation was made and approved that the panel should have the opportunity to see and comment on the scope and terms of reference for the PFCC's independent review before they are finalised.

Place and Resources Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Wednesday 26th November 2025 6.00 pm

The Place and Resources Overview and Scrutiny Committee was scheduled to meet to discuss budget monitoring, regeneration and asset management, and a scrutiny review of Section 106 agreements[^2] and the Community Infrastructure Levy[^3] (CIL). The committee was also expected to receive updates on waste collection and cleansing, and to review its work programme.

Strategic Planning Committee - Tuesday 18th November 2025 3.00 pm

The West Northamptonshire Council's Strategic Planning Committee convened on Tuesday, 18 November 2025, to discuss and decide on two major planning applications in Harpole. Both applications, concerning land at Norwood Farm and land north west of Upper High Street, were approved in line with officer recommendations, subject to conditions.

Northamptonshire Police, Fire and Crime Panel - Complaints Sub-Committee - Tuesday 18th November 2025 10.00 am

The Northamptonshire Police, Fire and Crime Panel Complaints Sub Committee met to consider a complaint regarding the conduct of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner of Northamptonshire. Mr Andrew Frost was appointed as Chair for the meeting, and the Sub Committee agreed to exclude the press and public while they discussed the details of the complaint. The Sub Committee reached a conclusion on the complaint.

Cabinet - Tuesday 11th November 2025 6.00 pm

West Northamptonshire Council's Cabinet met to discuss a range of issues, including housing management, budget adjustments for the Market Square project, and several annual reports related to safeguarding and education. The Cabinet approved a phased approach to bring housing services management back into the council, an increase to the Market Square capital budget, and the adoption of a policy statement for supporting children unable to attend school.
