The Strategy and Resources Committee approved recommendations regarding the council's financial and performance update for Quarter 1 2025/26 on 29 September 2025. The committee noted forecast overspends in the general fund and dedicated schools grant, and an underspend in the housing revenue account. They also approved amendments to the new Sutton College capital budget and land acquisition for the Westmead Road housing development project.

The Strategy and Resources Committee noted the performance of the Investment Property Portfolio for the 2024/25 financial year on 29 September 2025. The committee approved recommendations to note the performance of the Investment Property Portfolio in the 2024/25 financial year. The report noted the sale of Oxfam House and the granting of a new lease to Lidl for the former Wilko unit.

The Council of Sutton Council decided to approve recommendations regarding the designation of a Monitoring Officer on 29 September 2025. Siraj Choudhury was designated as Monitoring Officer from 3 November 2025, and Alexa Coates was noted as the interim Monitoring Officer until that date.

The Strategy and Resources Committee approved recommendations on 29/09/2025. The committee received an update on performance indicators for service areas under its responsibility. This included noting performance data for April 2024 to March 2025 and quarter one of the 2025/26 financial year.

The Strategy and Resources Committee approved the procurement of a new Facilities Management Hard Services contract and delegated authority to the Strategic Director for Resources to appoint a provider. This decision was made on 29 September 2025. The procurement will require the contractor to utilise EV vehicles and consider sustainable material sourcing.
