Overview & Scrutiny Committee - Thursday 6th November 2025 6.30 pm

Here is a summary of the planned discussions for the Overview & Scrutiny Committee meeting. The committee was expected to discuss the community lottery scheme, a performance report, and future plans. Some items, including a discussion of the SELCP sub-regional leisure operating agent procurement, were scheduled to be discussed in private.

Planning Committee - Tuesday 7th October 2025 10.00 am

The Boston Borough Council Planning Committee met to discuss a planning application for land north of the Boston Borough Council Depot. Councillors approved the application, which involves demolishing an industrial shed and changing the land use to provide additional staff parking, commercial parking bays, and trailer bays, with associated works. The committee made revisions to conditions relating to archaeological investigations and surface water disposal, in light of the fact that some work had already commenced on the site.

Full Council - Monday 29th September 2025 6.30 pm

Boston Borough Council met to discuss the 2024/25 outturn report, appointments to committees, the designation of a Section 151 officer[^2], the South and East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership performance, and a motion to replace the Chairman of the Planning Committee. The council approved the transfer of a £1.015 million surplus to the volatility reserve, made appointments to committee vice-chairmanships and outside bodies, designated a Section 151 officer, and voted to replace Councillor David Middleton as Chairman of the Planning Committee with Councillor Peter Bedford.

Cabinet - Wednesday 17th September 2025 6.00 pm

The Boston Borough Council Cabinet met to discuss the first quarter performance and risks, the financial position, and several strategic initiatives. Councillors agreed to consult on options for the local Council Tax Support scheme for 2026/27, approved a new Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Strategy, and supported the continuation of the South and East Lincolnshire Councils Crowdfunding Scheme. A new Body Worn Video Policy for the South & East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership was also approved.
