The meeting saw Councillor Saj Hussain and Councillor Tim Hall re-elected unopposed as Chair and Vice-Chair of the council respectively. It also saw the adoption of the scheme of proportionality for the coming year, approval of the appointment of various committees, chairmen and vice-chairmen, as well as the appointment of Michael Coughlin as Interim Head of Paid Service from 3 June 2024 to 18 August 2024. Matthew Woods was also appointed as the independent member of the Audit and Governance Committee for a period of four years.

The Committee unanimously agreed to register part of Stokes Field in Long Ditton, Surrey as a Town or Village Green (TVG).

Buckinghamshire Council and Surrey County Council Joint Trading Standards Service Committee - Wednesday, 10 April 2024 10.30 am

The Committee noted the 2023/24 budget forecast, agreed the 2024/25 budget, noted the Trading Standards Vapes Enforcement Update, noted the 2023/24 performance to mid-March and noted the Trading Standards Tobacco Work report.

Extraordinary Meeting, Council - Tuesday, 9 April 2024 10.00 am

The meeting approved the appointments of a new Chief Executive and an interim Monitoring Officer for Surrey County Council. Councillors also received apologies from absent Councillors.

Council - Tuesday, 19 March 2024 10.00 am

At this meeting of Surrey County Council, a motion was passed calling on the next government to reform local government finance, and the Council agreed to set up a Joint Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee with Hampshire County Council and Bracknell Forest Council to scrutinise the plans for the rebuilding of Frimley Park Hospital.
