Adult Social Care, Health and Communities Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday 14th October 2025 6.00 pm

The Adult Social Care, Health and Communities Overview and Scrutiny Committee were scheduled to discuss the Community Safety Partnership Annual Report, and the draft Domestic Abuse Strategy at their meeting. They were also scheduled to be advised of the new prioritisation toolkit endorsed by the Overview and Scrutiny Triangulation Group, and to review their work programme for the 2025-26 municipal year.

Children, Education and Housing Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Thursday 2nd October 2025 6.00 pm

The Children, Education and Housing Overview and Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Priority Action Plan, the national policy direction for early years provision, and the committee's work programme for 2025-26. The committee agreed that a SEND Priority Action Plan progress update should be given at the 1 December 2025 meeting, including the impact of online information in engaging families about available support. They also agreed to include the topic of waiting times for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) assessment in its future work programme, and to scrutinise geographical differences in the take-up of early education and childcare entitlement in West Northamptonshire.

Pensions Fund Committee - Thursday 2nd October 2025 6.00 pm

The Pensions Fund Committee of West Northamptonshire Council scheduled a meeting to discuss several key items, including the Northamptonshire Pension Fund's annual report, equality and diversity initiatives, and an update on connecting to the pensions dashboards.

Strategic Planning Committee - Tuesday 30th September 2025 2.00 pm

The Strategic Planning Committee convened to discuss and approve recommendations for a major residential development and a large solar farm project. Councillors approved the reserved matters for land at Towcester Vale relating to the main local centre, and agreed the position for the Green Hill Solar Farm as set out in the officer's report, subject to additional comments.

Council - Thursday 25th September 2025 5.00 pm

The Council of West Northamptonshire Council convened to consider nominations for Honorary Aldermen and Alderwomen. The meeting was scheduled to include announcements from Councillor Alison Eastwood, Chairman of the Council, and Councillor Mark Arnull, Leader of the Council and Leader of the Reform UK Group. Councillors were also expected to address any urgent business and consider the exclusion of press and public for certain items.
