The Economy, Infrastructure and Communities Overview and Scrutiny Committee met on Tuesday 22 July 2025 to discuss the establishment of a Network Management Working Group, updates to the Work Programme, and to exclude the public from the meeting for items involving exempt information. Councillor Conor Wileman was appointed as the Chair of the Network Management Working Group. The committee also received updates on a site visit to Litchfield Highway Depot, the scheduling of an additional meeting to consider the local transport plan, a site visit to the Staffordshire Highways Laboratory, and a briefing on flood risk management.

Staffordshire County Council met to discuss highways improvements, the financial outturn for 2024-25, and the adult social care team's recent inspection. The council approved the report of the Independent Remuneration Panel, the Overview and Scrutiny annual report, and a memorandum of understanding regarding health services. They also voted to increase the number of cabinet support members from three to four, adding a role for special educational needs and disability (SEND).

The Audit and Standards Committee of Staffordshire County Council convened to discuss internal audit processes, external audit plans, corporate governance, risk management, and standards for panel appointments. The committee approved the updated Code of Corporate Governance for 2025 and the updated Risk Management Policy Statement and Strategy Update for 2025. Members also reviewed the Financial Reporting Council's (FRC) report and the committee's forward plan.
