Alcohol & Gambling Licensing Sub-Committee - Wednesday 17th September 2025 10.00 am

The Alcohol & Gambling Licensing Sub-Committee were scheduled to convene to consider a premises licence review for Rai Convenience Store. The review was triggered by concerns raised by the Home Office Immigration Department regarding the prevention of crime and disorder. Councillors were also expected to discuss excluding the press and public from the meeting due to the presence of exempt information.

West Northamptonshire Council was scheduled to meet on 26 June 2025 at The Great Hall at The Guildhall, Northampton. The agenda included the presentation of annual reports from overview and scrutiny committees, a review of the council's flag protocol, and a discussion on setting allowances for council members. Councillors were also expected to discuss regional devolution, youth services, and support for children in care.

The Alcohol & Gambling Licensing Sub-Committee met to consider an application for a new premises licence for the Farthingstone Golf and Leisure Centre on Everdon Road in Farthingstone. The committee heard representations from the applicant, objectors and the licensing officer, before adjourning to make a decision which will be communicated to all parties in writing within five working days.

Annual meeting, Council - Thursday 15th May 2025 5.00 pm

The West Northamptonshire Council meeting scheduled for 15 May 2025 included the election of a chair and vice-chair, the appointment of a leader, and the allocation of seats to committees based on political balance. Councillors were also expected to note the names of the leaders and deputy leaders of the political groups, as well as the members of the Cabinet.
