Planning Committee - Tuesday, 2nd September, 2025 7.00 pm

The Waltham Forest Council Planning Committee met on 2 September 2025 and approved planning permission for a mixed-use development on Larkshall Road in Highams Park, and a roof extension on St Peters Avenue in Walthamstow. The committee delegated authority to the Assistant Director - Development Management and Building Control to formalise the wording of conditions and reasons for refusal, if necessary.

Council - Thursday, 17th July, 2025 7.30 pm

Waltham Forest Council met on 17 July 2025, and after observing a moment of silence for the victims of the 7/7 attacks and others, councillors discussed a range of issues including play and community spaces, the borough's financial situation, and parking fees. A motion to support and improve play opportunities for children was passed, and several appointments to committees and outside bodies were agreed.

Audit and Governance Committee - Tuesday, 15th July, 2025 7.00 pm

The Audit and Governance Committee of Waltham Forest Council was scheduled to meet on 15 July 2025 to discuss a range of reports related to the council's financial management, risk, and governance. These included the external audit plan, the draft statement of accounts, contract waivers, risk management, treasury management, anti-fraud measures, and data protection.

The Housing and Inclusive Economy Scrutiny Committee were scheduled to meet to discuss the Waltham Forest Housing Compact, social housing regulation, and internal analysis of Housing Ombudsman severe maladministration determinations. The committee was also expected to review the forward plan for the ongoing municipal year, and comment on the action tracker from the previous meeting.
