Extraordinary Meeting Appointment of Honorary Aldermen, County Council - Wednesday, 26 November 2025 11.00 am

At an extraordinary meeting of Hertfordshire County Council, held on 26 November 2025, 19 former councillors were appointed as honorary aldermen in recognition of their service to the county. The meeting, which was the last to be held in the Council Chamber at County Hall in Hertford, before meetings move to the Stevenage Campus, began with a brief introduction from Councillor Laurence Brass, Chairman of the Council, on the history and tradition of appointing honorary aldermen. The meeting concluded with the singing of the national anthem.

Extraordinary Meeting - Local Government Reorganisation, County Council - Wednesday, 19 November 2025 10.30 am

The Hertfordshire County Council convened an extraordinary meeting on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at County Hall in Hertford. The primary focus of the meeting was to consider the Local Government Reorganisation Business Case. The meeting also provided an opportunity for public questions and petitions related to the business at hand.

Environment, Transport & Growth Cabinet Panel - Wednesday, 5 November 2025 10.00 am

The Environment, Transport and Growth Cabinet Panel met to discuss a range of issues, including cycling and walking infrastructure, bus service improvements, local transport planning, and sustainability initiatives. The panel endorsed the Three Rivers Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan, noted the progress of the Interlink Enhanced Partnership review, endorsed the timetable and draft vision for the new Local Transport Plan, and noted the Sustainability Progress Report. The panel also discussed a proposal from Transport for London to take over the Moorgate routes, and agreed to circulate a draft letter to the Secretary of State regarding the proposal.

County Council - Tuesday, 21 October 2025 10.00 am

The Hertfordshire County Council met to discuss a range of issues, including the appointment of a chair to the Overview and Scrutiny Committee, political proportionality on committees, and a petition regarding the Hertfordshire Local Government Pension Scheme. The council also discussed and approved a new corporate plan, and heard reports from various committees.

Audit Committee - Friday, 3 October 2025 10.00 am

The Hertfordshire County Council Audit Committee met to discuss risk management, the adult social care workforce, and internal audit services. The committee agreed to note the changes to risk metrics and the revised list of corporate risks, and also approved an in-year amendment to the internal audit plan. They also received updates on the adult social care workforce and the shared internal audit service.
