The Cabinet of Doncaster Council decided to approve the Youth Justice Plan 2026/27 to 2028/29 on 09 September 2026. The plan outlines the work of the Youth Justice Service and is a statutory requirement to be submitted to the Youth Justice Board for England. The plan includes actions to develop the service and ensure the best provision for children and young people.

The Cabinet of Doncaster Council approved the three-year Mainstream School Sufficiency Assessment on 12 August 2026. The assessment will serve as the strategic evidence base for planning school places and will inform future decisions on school organisation, capital investment, admissions planning, and the management of falling rolls. Authority for future sufficiency-related actions is delegated to the Executive Director of Children, Young People and Families, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for CYPF and the Executive Director of Corporate Resources.

The Cabinet of Doncaster Council approved the CDC Section 50 (NRSWA 1991) Streetworks Licence policy on 12 August 2026. The decision was to implement a new policy for private apparatus in the public highway, including for EV charging infrastructure. The policy introduces clarity regarding longitudinal apparatus, EV charging, the application of bonds, and defines new processing timescales and an appeals process.

The Cabinet of Doncaster Council decided to accept £1,074,629 of grant funding from South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority to deliver the Bawtry Road Improvements on 12/08/2026. The decision maker gave delegated authority to the Director of Place to deliver the programme.

The Cabinet of Doncaster Council decided to accept up to £60,000,000 of Pride in Place Phase 2 funding on 12/08/2026. They approved the addition of the Pride in Place Fund to the Council's capital programme and provided delegated authority to officers to accept grant agreements and agree a project approvals process.
