Kingston and North Kingston Neighbourhood Committee - Thursday 2 October 2025 7:30 pm

The Kingston and North Kingston Neighbourhood Committee met to discuss community grant applications, proposed transport schemes, and local planning applications. The committee approved two applications for Neighbourhood Community Grant funding. They also discussed proposed schemes for the Local Implementation Plan (LIP) Programme 2026/27 and made decisions on two planning applications for Orchard House and 25 Blenheim Gardens.

People Committee - Tuesday 23 September 2025 7:30 pm, NEW

The Kingston upon Thames Council's People Committee convened to discuss several key issues affecting the borough's residents. The committee approved an uplift and extension to the adult carer support contract, noted progress with implementing the SEND Futures Plan, reviewed the Kingston and Richmond Safeguarding Children Partnership annual report, endorsed the progress of the Children and Young People’s Plan, and discussed outcomes for children in care.

Kingston and North Kingston Neighbourhood Committee - Wednesday 3 September 2025 7:30 pm

The Kingston and North Kingston Neighbourhood Committee met to discuss traffic management, parking, community grants, and a footbridge petition. Councillors approved recommendations for traffic management measures on Manorgate Road to be deferred, parking options in the Dickerage Lane area, and community grant funding for New Era Community Projects and Kingston Association for the Blind, while denying funding for Association QMC School of Capoeira. The committee also noted the results of a traffic monitoring review for Birkenhead Avenue and Gordon Road, deciding against further restrictions, and acknowledged a petition regarding a proposed footbridge over the River Thames.

Health Overview and Scrutiny Panel - Thursday 10 July 2025 7:30 pm

The Health Overview and Scrutiny Panel met to review Kingston's Adult Community Health Services, receiving an update on public health matters and discussing future work plans. The panel reviewed the plans for standardisation and developments in line with the 'left shift' to community based care. Councillors requested more information on the Connected Kingston website, and discussed how to involve the neighbourhood system and residents in health service changes.

Council - Tuesday 8 July 2025 7:30 pm

The Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames Council met to debate petitions regarding parking charges and pension fund investments, as well as to discuss a motion on welfare reform. Councillors agreed to establish a cross-party task force to review pension fund investments and also voted to campaign against changes to disability benefits. The council also formally recognised John Azar OBE, for being admitted to the status of Honorary Freeman of the Royal Borough.
