Here is a summary of the scheduled Cabinet meeting for Cornwall Council on 17 December 2025. Cornwall Growth Board - Thursday, 11th December, 2025 2.00 pm
The Cornwall Growth Board approved recommendations to adopt the Defence Sector Addendum to the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Good Growth Plan 2024-35, and to set up a working group to explore the development of a Cornwall International Strategy, as well as endorsing Global Cornish as the Cornwall Diaspora Strategy. The board also agreed to develop an options paper to explore setting up Global Cornish as an entity external to Cornwall Council.
Cornwall Council - Tuesday, 25th November, 2025 10.30 am
The Cornwall Council meeting on 25 November 2025 included a review of members' allowances, questions from the public, and several motions covering topics such as digital IDs, support for veterans, and equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) policies. Cabinet - Wednesday, 12th November, 2025 10.00 am
The Cornwall Council Cabinet met to discuss the Council Performance Report for Quarter 2 of 2025/26, the Draft Council Priorities Plan 2026-30, and several strategies and commissioning plans. The cabinet approved the draft Council Priorities 2026-2030 for public consultation, and also approved the Home Based Prevention and Intermediate Care Business Case, and to commence a procurement process for Sexual and Reproductive Health Services. They also formally adopted the 'Our Customer Philosophy 2025-2030' and the 'CornwALL Connected Digital Inclusion Strategy 2025-2030'.
Sustainable Growth and Place Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday, 11th November, 2025 10.00 am
The Sustainable Growth and Place Overview and Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the Newquay Airport development strategy, review the Cormac Small Highways Scheme, and conduct a mid-year review of the committee's work programme. The committee acknowledged the progress on the Newquay Airport Development Strategy and recommended a highways-specific value for money review of the council's Highways Service, including delivery by Cormac. They also endorsed the continuation of the 20mph roll out across Cornwall at a prior meeting on 7 October 2025[^1].
